Sister Scene, Racism/Antiracism in Our Everyday Lives

Sister Scene & AntiRacism in our Everyday Lives 4:00-5:30pm, SAT, May 14, 2021 on FB and in our zoom room.

Please join Meleata Smalls Pinto Emily Cox and Vandana Shah Brianna Pinto Marie Cox-McMahon and the Sister Scene Home Team Leaders as we discuss how racism and antiracism live in our bodies and show up in our everyday lives. You are personally invited to join us for this discussion, to get to know why we gather as the "Sister Scene," no prerequisite reading or credentials expected.

We believe the power to dismantle racism grows when we work/have conversations together across race/religion/age as well as working on our internal lives. Based in the research and public education about racialized trauma in an ancestral and ongoing cellular system as well as our institutional systems of white supremacy, Resmaa Menakem teaches us to look into our own body awareness and ancestral and current interpersonal and political awareness to deepen our person liberation from oppression. www.simplysupportivecommunity.org/events

Our permanent zoom room will open at 3:45 Sat, May 15, a facilitated discussion will start at 4 and end at 5:30:
