Signing off with a Salute to all the SisterScene friends who showed up to remember what happened last year on JAN 6. The SisterScene hosted 60 people at Cary's Waverly Place Mall outside Triangle Wine. Our featured guest speaker, Senator Floyd McKissick, (NC Utilities Commissioner) set our hearts aflame with his fury over the right wing conservatives’ attack on our elections process and the Voting Rights of all marginalized people around the country. The SisterScene lifted up the fierce poetry of Amanda Gorman bringing the crowd to a close under this dark sky with this chant of light from "The Hill We Climb," "We're strong enough to see it, Strong enough to be it!"Our action on Jan 6, 2022 was one of over 250 actions across the U.S.!
